Are you talking about the hair above her forehead, or the curl on the right? For the hair on pushed back into the bun, I used an HB or B to make the lines, and then went over it with a darker pencil. For the curl, I simply used one of the Bs (forgot which one:/) and made waves. I paralleled the wave for the shadow behind.
